Applying for Early Childhood Education

You may apply for an early childhood education place for your child all year round. The options are:

• municipal and private daycare centres
• municipal and private family daycare units
• early childhood education clubs

How to apply?

Apply for a municipal or private early childhood education place for your child at least four months before the need for an early childhood education place begins. If the need for a place is due to employment, studies or training and the time when care is needed cannot be predicted, an early childhood education place must be applied for as soon as possible – but no later than two weeks before the need for care begins.

Both municipal and private early childhood education places are to be applied through online services https://www.laukaa.fi/asukkaat/kasvatus-ja-opetus/varhaiskasvatus/sahkoinen-asiointi/  (in Finnish only) or by filling out a paper application and delivering it to Laukaa Early Childhood Education Office (address below).
